If you’re a Personal Assistant (PA) working through the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP), understanding how PPL’s payroll system works is essential to getting paid correctly and on time. Whether you’re new to the program or need a refresher, here’s a quick guide to navigating the process smoothly.

1. What Is the PPL Pay Period?

The pay period under PPL begins Sunday at midnight and ends Saturday at 11:59 p.m. ET.

All approved shifts submitted before Saturday night are included in the upcoming Thursday’s paycheck—as long as all validations are passed.

💡 Tip: Submit your hours right after your final shift of the week to avoid last-minute issues.

2. When Do Hours Need to Be Submitted?

All hours must be submitted by Saturday at 11:59 p.m. ET to ensure you’re paid on time.

Late submissions will not be processed until the following pay cycle.

📌 Reminder: Set a weekly alarm so you never miss the deadline.

3. Why Did I Get a Paper Check Instead of Direct Deposit?

If you requested direct deposit but received a paper check, it may be due to:

  • Errors in your banking information

  • Verification delays by PPL

To protect accuracy, PPL issues paper checks until all bank details are verified.

🔍 Double-check your bank info in your PPL@Home account to avoid delays.

4. Will I Still Get Paid if I’m Missing Paperwork?

No. You must complete all required PPL paperwork to receive your paycheck.

✔️ Look for any incomplete forms or checklist items under your account dashboard.
